NMDs works to end the death and suffering on the US/Mexico border through civil initiative: the conviction that people of conscience must work openly and in community to uphold fundamental human rights. We have hosted and trained thousands of volunteers to provide aid to migrants at our desert camps and border aid stations.
Current projects: Desert aid: Patrols from camps in the remote souther AZ desert with volunters prepared to give water, food, first aid and rescue.
Border aid station: A partnership to run 3 aid stations on the Mexican side of th border for deportees to receive water, food, first aid, a place to rest while they decide what to do next.
Abuse compilation: Documentation of any abuse suffered by migrants while in custody of Border Patrol.
